I'm still marveling over the eco-friendly, design-forward gardens I saw in Sonoma last weekend.
Here's my final post from the final garden show of the year..... gardens that linger only in memory, for they've already been disassembled and taken away:

The "Grow Melt Project" was a moving, melting metaphor in the Sonoma heat. It not only changed during the show, as planned, but unfortunately melted away by late Friday afternoon, leaving a very cool cactus garden that carried on through the show.
"Black Soul" by Monica Viarengo is pure drama and a powerful lesson in the effectiveness of contrasting colors.
