I'll be giving an NPA lecture at the Center for Urban Horticulture this Sunday at 1 p.m. on simplifiying your garden life, a.k.a. "Is over-the-top gardening really over?". Hope to see you there....cost is $10 for non-NPA members; doors open at noon, CUH's address is 3501 N.E. 41st Street. I'll have advance copies of my new book in hand, if not for sale....see the NPA website for more information.....

Val, How wonderful that soon we all will be able to read your new book! Wish I could make it to Seattle for the unveiling.
And I've enjoyed your descriptions of the Late Show Garden. I attended the preview party on my way to the Monterey Jazz Festival and Carmel. The setting and growers were fantastic. Plus the Late Show gardens and designers were captivating-- definitely world class. We could share photos. Do tell all on the blog about the icewall that no one could keep their hands off! It was a treat for our ears with its creaking and squeaking and the accompanying garden and message was so effective and beautiful.
