Here's your excuse for a day or weekend visit to the seaside village of Langley - Museo Gallery's show of art for, and inspired by, the garden. The opening party is this Saturday night, April 3rd, from 5-7 p.m. Museo's openings are always a fun and lively scene, offering food, drink and a chance to meet local artists. I'll be doing the flowers and the pots at the door, a variety of Whidbey artists have created special pieces just for this show.
Be sure and come early enough to drop in to Chocolate Flower Farm's retail shop right across the street from Museo, and to visit nearby Cultus Bay and Bayview Nurseries. The former is a beautiful, pastoral nursery run by Mary Fisher and filled with an exciting selection of plants; Bayview Farm and Garden is a big, thriving nursery where I run into something special every time I visit....
Your invitation is below - the show runs through April 26th, and is well worth the trip to Whidbey Island, no foolin'....
